King Charles III was born Charles Philip Arthur George on the 14th of November 1948. He is the newest King of the United Kingdom and 14 other Commonwealth realms. He ascended to the throne on 8th September 2022 upon the death of his mother, Elizabeth II.
He was Duke of Cornwall and Duke of Rothesay from 1952 to his accession. He was the oldest and the longest-serving heir apparent in British history and the longest-serving Prince of Wales, having held the title from 26 July 1958 until his accession on September 8yh 2022. Charles is the oldest person in British history to ascend the throne at the age of 73.
