Miss Charm 2023 will take place between the 2nd and 17th of February in Ho chi Minh, Vietnam. The grand finale will hold on the 16th. Delegates from over forty countries are expected to participate in the pageant. Eight awards are expected to be won at the event. They include Best in Ao Dai, Best National Costume, Best Social Media, Best Swimsuit, Best Evening Gown, Miss Blockcharm, Miss Photogenic and Miss Tourism.

Miss Charm began in 1989 owned by Russia. The first winner was from Turkey, Meltem Hakarar. After over thirty years, it is back and now it is owned by Vietnam. The debut under this new management would have been in 2020 but the pandemic made it impossible. After two more postponements, it is finally taking place in February in beautiful Ho Chi Minh,Vietnam.

African queens taking part in the Pageant are only six in number. A little about who they are and the countries they represent is listed below.

Luyanda Zuma is the South African delegate for the contest coming up in Vietnam in less than four weeks. Luyanda is twenty years old. She is a model. She is a final year student of Live Performance from the University of Kwazulu Natal in South Africa.

Winta Russom is representing Eritrea. She is twenty-three years old. She grew up in Saudi Arabia.

Bitaniya Yosef of Ethiopia was Miss Supranational in 2017. She is a twenty- nine- year-old model.

Grace Mwila is representing Zambia. She was second runner-up at the Miss Interglobal pageant in October 2022, held in Lagos Nigeria. She was also fourth runner-up at Miss Face Beauty Pageant in Zambia. She is a twenty-six year- old teacher.

Aramide Lopez is representing Nigeria. She is a model. She has a bachelor’s degree in History and Diplomatic Studies. Miss Lopez was Miss Nigeria Tourism 2016. In 2018 she won the title of Most Beautiful Girl in Nigeria when she was twenty years old. She is over five feet ten inches tall.

Aluong Bulkoch is Miss Charm South Sudan. She is over five feet nine inches tall. She represented her country at Miss Universe 2020 held in Australia. She is twenty -seven years old.
