How Lesego Started

When radiant Lesego Chombo was born, her family lived in the village of Shorobe, where she had her primary and secondary school education. Then she went to the University of Botswana to study Law because Lesego needed a profession that would support her passion. And that passion is fighting for children and women who have no one to speak for them.

How Miss World ’24 becomes MP-

As time passed, Ms Chombo became an attorney and joined the workforce, while supporting children through her Genesis NGO. So, realizing the need for a bigger forum, she took part in pageants. This helped her passion grow and succeed. Therefore, she chose pageantry.

Lesego Chombo, Les, beat nine other ladies, to win the title of Miss World Botswana. Yet, she had no single gift to celebrate her victory. No gift in cash or kind, nothing. No sponsor stepped forward to support this radiant beauty, nothing.

What happened next?

In spite of of the disappointments she encountered, she glowed. Thus, her general performance at the event was so brilliant that she won third runner-up Miss World 2023/4. And the title of Miss World Africa 2023/4.

So she is the first Botswana queen to make it that far in the history of international pageants. Now, she is the first Beauty Queen to be in Botswana’s house of Parliament.
