FORCE FOR GOOD crown
Miss Universe unveiled the Mouawad “Force for Good” crown for the pageant in January 2023. During the unveiling live-streamed from Thailand, Mouawad’s fourth-generation co-guardian Fred Mouawad said the crown features 110 carats of blue sapphires and 48 carats of white diamonds. It is worth $ 6 million. The 71st Miss Universe is happening on January 14, 2023 in New Orleans, Louisiana, United States.

In 1999, Paulina Galvez of Colombia was the first to wear a new pearl-encrusted version of the Miss International crown made by As-me Estelle Jewellery Japan. This was a short break from the Mikimoto crown and the Asme Estelle crown was used from the years 1999 to 2014, (15 years) with Valerie Hernandez being the last one to wear it. In 2015 the return of the original Mikimoto crown was seen when Venezuela’s Edymar Martinez was crowned the winner. It is said to be worth at least $400k.
