Miss France 2024/5 was selected some days ago because Miss World 2024/5 is fast approaching. So the chosen Miss France is Angelique Angarni-Filopon from Martinique Island of France. It is the first time a queen aged over thirty years is winner of Miss France. She would also be at Miss Universe 2025 .

Genesis of age choice :-

First, the decision to pick someone of that age range began in 2022, when the rules for Miss France pageant were modified. And that modification has two major considerations which are age and marital eligibilities. These are extension of age to thirty-four from twenty-four and inclusion of married or single mothers.

Secondly, the choice of the thirty-four year-old flight attendant amongst much younger girls, rests with the judges. .

So we present to you, Miss France 2024/5, Ms. Angarni-Filopon, another woman of colour. In the past few years, this skin shade has been a pattern with France and guess what? The organization has not been disappointed with this recent innovation. How? Because all of these women have excelled in global events by getting placements in all the pageants.

Meet Angelique:-

Angelique, Miss France 2024/5 is a veteran beauty queen who was first runner-up of Miss Martinique 2011. She is five feet nine inches tall. After that event, she went on with her life and trained as a flight attendant. However, she still dreamed of being a title winner.

Opportunity came for Angelique Angarnin, with the new rules and she grabbed it. Entering for the local contest in Martinique and the national contest in France. And the rest as they say, is history.
